Boy, have they grown!!
I'm doing that bi-annual project today - boxing up the winter clothes to make way for the summer clothes. I kept an outfit of the boys when they were in the NICU that I come across every time I do this task. I thought it would be fun for them to hold up the preemie clothes to compare. Henry weighed 3 lbs 11 oz and Jonathan weighed 3 lbs 6 oz.

I knew this day would come.

Look at these sweet boys sleeping. They feel asleep on the floor....ah, those were the days! (But those were also the days of 2 feedings at night.) Rob has been telling me that this day is coming. I've been in denial for some time now. I think it's here. MY BOYS WON'T TAKE A NAP!

All you experienced moms out there - how do you introduce "quiet time?" My boys share a room, and I don't know where to start. HELP!

Progress

Have you ever tried to find a needle in a haystack? That's what we've been doing. This playset came with hundreds of pieces of lumber that were all labeled with a sticker so you'd know what piece was what. Well, to make a long story short, the sticker came off of 90% of the pieces of lumber. We are having to measure each piece, check to see how many holes it has to find the correct pieces. The process is getting easier because we've already put a lot of it together. The boys ask every day, "Is the playground finished yet?"

Here's some pictures of them entertaining themselves while we tried to work.

While I was taking this picture, Jonathan said, "Upside down cheese!" He's so funny!

Rob went skeet shooting with guys from care group. The boys wanted to try on his ear muffs. Henry walked around singing ABC because it sounded so funny to him.

Playset Preparation and Beginnings
Rob rented a hand roller to help pack the ground. The boys liked this tool because they like to watch Rolly on Bob the Builder.

Here's our attempt to keep weeds from growing in the finished product.

The Boxes! All but one of these boxes weighs over 200 lbs. One of them is over 250lbs!

I couldn't believe how many bolts, nuts, screws, washers, etc were needed! At least the bags were nicely labeled.

Things are starting to take shape. (See that nice house in the background. It supposed to go on the market in the summer.....we'd love to be able to hand pick our neighbors. Anyone need a house?)

What's going on here??
Here's a before shot of our big Spring project.

Here's Rob trying out the tiller. You can see my lousy excuse for digging the background. After an hour we gave up and rented a tiller.

What could it be?? Our next door neighbors thought it was a pool. It's not a garden.

It's a . . . .

Stay tuned as the work progresses.

A Trip to the Zoo

Henry, Ada, and Jonathan

We ran into some other moms from church and their children. Here's Aidan, Henry, Abigail, Ada, and Jonathan. Abigail seems to be the popular one because she has GOLDFISH!
