Do your children or any children you know eat Play-Doh, Crayons, and other non-toxic things that don't taste good? Please help me understand why!

I met two of my 24 first cousins (on my mother's side) in Morristown last week. Regina was in Kingsport from Wisconsin, and we knew we couldn't pass up an opportunity to see each other. We decided to meet at a park. In theory it was a great idea - meet, visit, let the boys play (we have six boys - ages 3 1/2 - 2 months - between the three of us) and enjoy the being together. We didn't account for 90 degree weather, little shade, cranky toddlers and other important things. It was great to see Regina and Tina...but all three of us - actually all nine of us - were more than ready to come home.

If you love history like I do, you're sure to enjoy the PBS summer series History Detectives. We discovered it last summer, and I was disappointed to find out that it only plays in the summer. I've been waiting since last September for the show to return. Tonight's the night! Click on the link to find out more about the show.

Look what we bought! Potties! Jonathan had a lot to say about his new potty: "Take back, Mommy!" I don't think he's all that thrilled about it.

Thanks goes out to Heidi (who is 36 weeks pregnant) for doing well under pressure. We had three of the four kids (2, 2 and 3) out of our vans when it happened. We were able to get passerbyers to help move our carseats into her van and get the boys in them. Laura (another mother of twins and Heidi's neighbor) was waiting for Heidi to get home so she could help wrangle kids. Matt and Kristie arrived very quickly to help. Kristie rushed me to the ER while Matt helped Heidi get the kids into our house. My mother-in-law was there soon after to take care of the boys. Rob, who work 30 minutes away, even beat us to the hospital. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

Playing on the computer with Nana - I hope my hair is that beautiful when I am a grandmother. Just not before I'm a grandmother though!
