Help!

I have an new monitor, and I'm having brightness issues with it. What does this picture look like to you? Way too bright, just right, or too dark? It looks good to me, but I had to make it darker from how it was on my other monitor....

The Little Red Chair

My friend, Heidi, and I decided to take all seven of our kids to take summer portraits. We weren't so successful! It's hard to take pictures of little children...especially your own. Hats off to my photographer friends - Lillian, Heather, Gabby, Michelle, and Ben! The best picture I took the entire time was of a chair. It doesn't move like the all the kids.

The rest of the pictures are just downright funny. Next time we go, I'll have to take Rob's parents with me. Extra hands would be nice, and Bob's "Donald Duck" voice works like a charm!

For your amusement, here are some of my crazy pictures!

This one of Andrew isn't too bad...but then again, he doesn't move all that much.

Benjamin - 18 months old

Benjamin turned 18 months old on Friday. I really can't believe how fast this little guy is growing up! He has his 18 month well visit on Friday; so I will post his stats later.

At 18 months, Benjamin still loves to climb. He climbs everything - I mean everything. We've had to remove Henry and Jonathan's bunk bed ladder when they aren't sleeping because it's not unusual to find Benjamin on the top bunk. Recently I caught him just as he was falling off the top of the ladder.

He loves cars. He rolls them all over the house - and on top of tables when he gets on them. One of my favorite things about him at this stage is his love for music. He loves to dance and "sing" and sway back and forth to the music. He and Rob will sit in the chair and listen to fun music on the computer - any genre. You name it, this boy likes it.

He's starting to talk more, too. He doesn't have a huge vocabulary yet (maybe using five words regularly (momma, dada, bath, ball, uh-oh). But he sure understands everything you say and follows directions very well (when he wants to). He's a very good grunter.

Another favorite thing for him is being outside. Maybe it's just God's sense of humor that my child want to be outside 24/7 since I'm an air-conditioning girl. He still loves "his boys" (Henry and Jonathan), and they are very protective of him - especially when he decides to climb up the 8 foot portion of our playground which is a big no-no. 8 foot drop and an 18 month old don't mix well.

I love my little B-Bug!
