Joke of the Week
Henry: "What time is it when you have two dogs and a bucket of balls?"

Me: (Quite perplexed) - "What did you say???"

Henry: "What time is it when you have two dogs and a bucket of balls?"

Henry: "Party Time! Get it??"

May Happenings
Benjamin loves his bungie bouncer.

Henry and Jonathan have started going to Home Depot once a month for their Kids' Workshop. They really enjoy using real tools. They made pencil holders for Mother's Day at the May Workshop.

Trip to the Fire Station
We've had our experience with the city fire department over the years - for a quick reminder go to the archives on February 15, 2006 and August 21, 2007. (For some reason I can't link to my own blog.) But we'd never been to the actual fire station. So my friend, Cindy, scheduled a morning visit. We had a great time. When they asked how old the children were there was some confusion. Cindy (who has triplets) told them they were four and four and four and four and four.

Light Bulb*, meet Rubber Ball!

These pricey bulbs are supposed to save me lots of money over the life of the bulb - which is normally seven years. What if the life of the bulb is only three days? How much did I save?

*This photo is not of the actual bulb. The actual bulb is all over the bonus room floor.

Pearly Whites

I was finally able to get a decent shot of Benjamin's new teeth. (I'm not sure why his tongue looks so strange. It doesn't normally look like that.)

Article from Today's Paper
The Knoxville-News Sentinel ran Mother's Day story today that featured my good friend, Malissa. It is a heartbreaking story with triple joy in the end! I was very excited to see Malissa featured in the paper, although it made me cry - not your pretty, joyful cry either.

Six of My Favorite People
I'd like to introduce you six of my favorite people - the ladies in my care group. Our group is extremely close. I've never been involved in a care group where members' hearts are so knit together. We love each other so much and have a great time being together!

Left to Right - Johanna, Shelley, Amy, Kelli, me, Melanie, and Casey

At a recent care group meeting, Benjamin was having a very difficult time - constant crying - well, screaming - for over an hour. Rob was working late so he wasn't there to help. I didn't want to leave because the older two were so excited to be there. So, I left the room to try to calm down Benjamin, but he kept on screaming. All these ladies (and later their husbands) sprang into action to help me. Casey warmed the bottle and got his car seat. Melanie walked around in the front yard with Benjamin trying to calm him down. Amy (the constant encourager) reminded me that everything would be ok and that it was no big deal that Benjamin was disrupting the entire meeting. Johanna tried to help, but no one would let her because she was about to pop (i.e. have Baby Tulli). Shelley cleaned up my older son who had peed all over her bathroom floor and himself while Kelli stayed outside to watch the other kids. All of this while the meeting was in progress.

I love you, ladies!!

Benjamin's Tooth Watch 2

After five weeks of crankiness, drooling, general unhappiness, Benjamin's two bottom teeth have made their first appearance. He's so much happier now! Now we will brace ourselves for more in a few weeks.
