BINGO!
.jpg)
I've been rummaging through some of the items I purchased when I taught kindergarten. I found two fun bingo games. The boys really enjoy playing Alphabet Bingo and Color and Shape Bingo. I didn't think they'd understand the bingo concept yet, but I was wrong. It's nice to know that all that money I spent for my classroom years ago, is finally paying off at home!

Washable Markers

If you look carefully at the picture above, you'll see the boys "discovering" the sprayer in the sink!

SPRINKLES?
The boys talk about sprinkles several times a weeks. What in the world could they be talking about? (I know, and it's not what you think!) Any guesses? Check in later for the answer.Sprinkles = Wrinkles - bathtime wrinkles

"I need some covers!"
The boys decided they wanted to rest. So they turned off the lights and cuddled up under this oh-so-comfy rug. They are such goof-balls!

BUSTED!

When the boys use the potty, they get an M&M as a reward - nothing like a little bribery. Recently after Rob used the bathroom, one of the boys said, "Daddy, you get an M&M!" Rob explained that because he has been using the potty for a long time that he didn't get one. I was in the other room, hoping the conversation would stop there. But it didn't! "Mommy gets one," were the next words out of his mouth! Can you say BUSTED!?

Famous Relatives

Just a crazy thought...does anyone one have any famous relatives? I never thought I did until about three years ago I found out that I'm supposedly related to Ronald Reagan. Funny thing, my cousin, Sarah, from the same side of the family, named her daughter Reagan before we knew this. What about you? Any famous (or infamous) family ties?

Super Swimmer!

Here's a picture of my super swimming nephew, Drew. It was featured in a high school sports website sponsored by the local paper. He started swimming competitively two years ago as a sophomore, and he'll be heading to the Tennessee State Swim Meet in February. I'm excited that I'll get to see him swim for the first time on February 3!

Fun with a Box
We are attempting to train the boys to come quickly when they are called. Today, I called for Jonathan to come brush his teeth and got no response. Rob went to seach for him, and he found one very stuck little boy. Jonathan said, "I stuck, Daddy!"
Jonathan had some more fun with the same box a little earlier in the evening. See the white paper in the background. Look for more of it in the last picture.

Potty Training -- Update 2
The potty training continues. Last week, I hada little guy show some resistance. But (no pun intended), things are looking much better this week. We said goodbye to the padded underware until they could get the process figured out. So, it's pull-ups for us right now.(Alison, is this an acceptable photo of the process?)Labels: Potty Training

Happy Birthday, Dad!
Today is my dad's birthday! We met him in Morristown for dinner to celebrate! Here's some pictures of the boys with him! My favorite picture is of him holding the boys in one arm while they were still in the NICU. Unfortunately, that was on my "film" camera.

The Local Church in Action!
This is a fun story of our local church in action.
Today, I was experiencing car trouble. After calling Chandra, who has a three week old and two other kids under three, to come to my rescue (she's the only friend I have who's vehicle can hold 5 car seats) I called our church to get the phone number for the Volunteers for Christ House (our campus ministry) since I knew it was only two blocks away. I was given an intern's cell number. Todd (whom I had never met) graciously came to my rescue. Todd toted two car seats while I pushed the boys in the stroller to the VFC House where we were to meet Chandra. At the VFC House we were greeted by three college guys who entertained the boys by reading a story, playing the guitar, and giving them chocolate while we waited for Chandra. I am grateful for the young guys and their desire to serve even a mother of two pre-schoolers! Thanks Todd, Jeff, Jeremy, and Marko!

Bumpy Pizza

Ignoring the fact that pecan pie sent Rob to the ER this past weekend (long story), it's still his favorite dessert. The boys only know one other thing that is cut into a triangle like a piece of pie - PIZZA. One of them asked Rob about his "bumpy pizza." We thought that was funny!

Potty Training - Update 1
Well, it's started - potty training two boys at the same time! We started yesterday, and the boys are doing great! They only had a few accidents each. Today, we are using padded underware. I didn't think the pull-ups were allowing the boys to feel wet. So, if you think of us today, please pray for God's help! Thanks!Labels: Potty Training

Happy New Year!
Matt and Kristie and their boys came over on New Year's Eve for dinner and fun! They even spent the night. The adults play a grueling game of 80s Trivial Pursuit with Matt and Kristie as the winners. Matt is full of useless knowledge. We awoke to pancakes and sausage and more fun! Here's how all six boys rang in 2007....in bed!
The older guys enjoyed playing with the Henry and Jonathan's new boncey balls. Just look at Noah's face as he's flying in mid-air!
