Christmas in November
My sister-in-law, Melissa (my brother's wife), has stored all of her boys' toys and books that they outgrew in her attic. (Maybe she was holding out for me to get married and have my own boys one day.) Now with two pre-schoolers, we are reaping the benefits!
My dad came to visit last week and brought a car-load of toys from Mike and Melissa's house. A tool bench, little desk, tricycle, over 50 books, train set, cars, trucks, and much more. The boys are loving them! They especially love the tool bench and the train (and the big box that carried a lot of toys). Interstingly, I recognize some of the toys that my mom bought for Drew (who is almost 18) when he was younger.

Thanks Melissa for keeping all this great stuff!

Hey Suzie-Q, I was wondering if you would help me! addy is at the age where she needs to be doing something... like crafts or projects and I need some ideas. I feel pretty clueless. Would you mind blogging about things to do with toddlers or young ones? I could really benefit from your experience!

How awesome! Now, if you were really smart, you would have just wrapped up all those toys and waited until Xmas to give them to the boys! J/K! Anyway, my kids love the tool stuff, too. Aaron's mom bought them a toy chainsaw, which I actually thought was sort of morbid. But, my kids LOVE it! Have a good Thanksgiving!

Katie - someone else mentioned that I should have given it to them for Christmas. It seems a little lame to me..."here's your Christmas gifts from your parents but they are really from your uncle and aunt and they are at least 5 years old...." I didn't want to do that.
